Fall is here, which means, more pumpkins, more lattes, and more time spent indoors with your littles.
For when you're running out of things to do....introducing ROBOT DOH-BOTS. To make your own play-doh combine 1 cup water, 1/2 cup salt, 1 T oil, and 1 T cream of tartar in a saucepan and heat. Add 1 cup flour, remove from heat & stir consistently until the dough forms. Add glitter, food coloring, and robot parts (or whatever is hiding in your tool-box or garage) & see what your kiddo will create! The cream of tartar acts as a preservative so this play-doh can occupy your kiddos for ALL fall and winter (it should last for the next 6 months). This helps your little mechanics strengthen their muscles for pre-writing (like their pincer grip) and encourages creativity.
