The Philly Pad is looking for a qualified Camp Leader to lead small children in week-long summer programs. All camp leaders must be dedicated to delivering a memorable Philly Pad experience. Leaders must have a great love and patience for children as well as an ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention.
You will be asked to follow a full schedule activities and do minimal prep work. You will teach and supervise children during free play times while motivating them to collaborate with their peers, solve problems, and exercise their imagination. You will communicate with the parents of children in your group and collaborate with The Philly Pad staff. You will be required to maintain a clean and tidy classroom and help with classroom cleaning responsibilities.
Camp leader hours are from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Friday, starting June 17th through mid August.
Requirements
Experience with children between the ages of 2 and 6 (will be asked to provide references)
Understanding/knowledge of child development
Excellent communication and instructional skills
Ability to act as mediator between children
Calm, friendly and reliable
Imaginative and playful, methodical and detail oriented
Preferred - certification in child CPR and training in early childhood education
